Enriched experiences start here
Nurturing care and early learning in a supportive campus community.
The UC Santa Cruz Early Education Center (EEC) is dedicated to providing high quality developmental care for each child. Our purpose is to support the University of California’s mission of research, teaching, and community service, and to support students and employees in achieving their educational and career goals.

Our programs
Currently our programs are open to the children of UCSC students. Beginning in 2026 (tentatively spring quarter 2026), after we move to the new Early Education Center on campus, our programs will expand to include children of UCSC employees.

A place for your child to learn and grow
Our center is currently located in the Family Student Housing community near Heller Drive. Our beautiful new facility is currently being built near Hagar and Coolidge Drive—purposefully designed to foster exploration, learning, and connection in a warm and welcoming environment.

Safe, supportive, and focused on your child’s development
The Early Education Center is dedicated to providing the highest quality developmental care possible in a secure, homelike environment characterized by warmth, affection, and support. We believe that children learn through play and exploration while engaged in relationships with peers and responsive, caring adults. We nurture all aspects of a child’s development: cognitive, emotional, social, creative, and physical.
